01What is Yap Wallet?
Yap Wallet is the product line. Yap Signer is the self-custodial Chrome extension for a Solana bot wallet. Keys stay on your device in an AES-GCM vault.
02Is Yap Signer a Chrome extension?
Yes. It runs in Chrome as an extension popup. Create, restore, unlock, and sign happen there. This website cannot create, import, export, or reset a wallet.
03Where are my keys stored?
On this device. Your 24-word recovery phrase is sealed in an AES-256-GCM vault. Unlock derives the key in memory. Locking or quitting Chrome wipes it. Yap does not hold your keys on a server.
04Can Yap recover my wallet if I lose the 24 words?
No. Yap cannot reset this. If the phrase is lost, the wallet is lost. Write the recovery phrase down and keep it off this device.
05Does this website hold my seed or password?
No. yap-pay.xyz never accepts a seed, vault password, or private key. Page scripts may send ping and getStatus only.
06How do I install Yap Signer?
The Chrome Web Store listing is under review. We will not post a store URL until Google lists it. Install stays disabled until then.
07Can I search for coins and track tokens?
Yes. In the popup you can search for coins and track tokens from that list. CoinGecko charts are also in the popup. Market data providers never receive your private key.
08Can I send, receive, and swap?
Yes, from the extension popup. Copy the address or show a receive QR, send SOL, and quote swaps with Jupiter. Review every transaction before you sign. Confirmed Solana transactions cannot be undone.
09Does Yap Signer work on every website?
No. It is not a general dapp wallet. Silent tokens and page scripts only work on allowlisted Yap origins.
10Are the five agent wallets live?
No. Five custodial agent wallets, KMS/HSM custody, campaigns, and onramp are future platform surfaces. They are not in the Chrome extension today.
